Hi, I’m Tommy!
I’m a freelance artisan based in Philadelphia.
As the wig and wardrobe supervisor for Bucks County Playhouse, I have been the point person for wardrobe crew management and running each production for both wigs and wardrobe.
In this role I’ve used my knowledge of crew management as well as my people skills to navigate the challenges of a standard 8-show work week.
I have had the great fortune to work with many skilled costume designers and wig designers which has greatly furthered my knowledge of wig maintenance and restyling.

In this role I’ve used my knowledge of garment construction and tailoring to help bring Verity Gordon’s designs to life.
Des Moines Metro Opera
Props Show Supervisor
May - August 2023
During my time at Des Moines Metro Opera, I had the unique opportunity of filling two distinct roles.
In my first position as Props Staff, I maintained the cleanliness of the shop, helped direct interns, took charge on major props build projects, and started as one of the members on run crew.
Due to a crew change, I was later promoted to Props Stage Supervisor. In this role, I managed a run crew of 5 as well as taking care of team scheduling. This was an interesting challenge as I handled working in a repertory environment for the first time, and regulated organization and changeovers between our three mainstage shows.
UNCSA
2019 – 2023
At the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, I worked towards a major in Stage Properties, and graduated in May 2023. In this program I had many opportunities, including working for stage and film, in both artisan and managerial roles.
My notable accomplishments in management at UNCSA include being Properties Director and Advisor for UNCSA’s The Nutcracker (‘21, ‘22), Properties Director for All’s Well that Ends Well (‘22), Assistant Properties Director for Amadeus (‘22) and for Dangerous Corner (‘23).
I also have had many artisan roles at UNCSA, including Lead Artisan for Sophie L’Arnould & L’heure Espagnol (‘21), and Artisan for Indecent (‘21), Coriolanus (‘22), and Orlando Paladino (‘23).
Maine State Music Theatre
Summer 2022
Wimberley Players
Summer 2020
At Maine State Music Theatre, I assumed both the position of Props staff, and later in the summer, Stage Operations staff. As a properties artisan, I produced props for the entire summer season, which included mainstage shows The Sound of Music, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Color Purple and Kinky Boots, as well as 3 children’s shows and 3 concerts.
As Stage Operations Staff, I loaded in and ran a backstage track for Kinky Boots, and also participated in both the final show strike and the summer season strike.
In the Production Intern position at Wimberley Players Theatre in Wimberley, Texas, I had many roles. One of the tasks my fellow interns and I were assigned was helping keep the beloved community theatre afloat in the midst of the height of the pandemic.
I helped create and develop the Summer Season, which was an outdoor concert and movie series with the producers and board of the Wimberley Players, for which I drafted and helped build a stage, as well as seating areas for proper social distancing. I also was essentially a production assistant, helping run and moderate the livestreams for some of the virtual events the theater produced, and troubleshooting technical issues.
